About to purchase an Echo or Echo dot but was wondering if it can send voice commands out from HS3 to the echo, similar to the homeseer speaker?
If it can then we can just use the Echo as the homeseer speaker, but if not then we'll get the dot and use external stereo that will combine the audio from the Echo and the Homeseer pc so we're able to get voice confirmations from HS3.
We use Insteon keypads to control events and when we hit something like away mode we want an audio confirmation that HS3 received the event and initiated the action.
We've used the Echo and Alexa's "ok" doesn't seem to confirm what she actually does. Having it able to say "away mode active" makes it a lot easier to confirm that the event is working and its the correct event. Also a lot easier to troubleshoot issues.
Also does it work with multiple echo's? and can i pick and choose which ones or is it all or nothing? Not sure if i really care if I can pick and choose
