HS2Pro Migrate from Windows to Linux

Hi all,
I would like to migrate my HS3Pro instance from Windows7 with an Aeon stick to a linux installation that would run on my esxi virtual lab.

I have 2 questions and maybe someone can help:
- is there a way to save the database and just import on the new instance?
-is there any valid reason why a linux instance is a poor choice for HS3Pro compared to Windows?
