Mini Remote 2342-2

I've got a Mini Remote 2342-2 set up in 8 scene non-toggle mode. The plugin created all the devices properly, I see the proper responses from all the buttons in the log, and I can trigger events using the Insteon special triggers. Is it possible to have the device update the last change value each time the button is pressed? Is it possible to control the devices so that I can turn them off with an event or manually so they're not constantly stuck ON?
