Aeon stick vs zwave.me

I've found that the stick I use has different effects on homeseer.

I moved from a raspberry pi to a Ubuntu PC and at the same time changed from aeon labs to zwave.me

I've had all manner of problems that I didn't have before.
I've discovered today for example that the Fibaro universal sensor works on the aeon labs stick but not the zwave.me stick!

I find this pretty worrying really. It gets me out of a problem just now having both sticks plugged in but it's not ideal.

Has anyone else seen this issue?
