Create event trigger from command script

So I can create a script without issue. I want to add a trigger on when a device changes. I cannot find the docs on how to do this. The HS3 docs refer to eventclass which doesnt exist in the docs and is never returned by NewEventEx ( i get a int ref). The docs say i should get an eventclass but i dont. Any ideas? I am trying to add a bunch of events by script to save me a ton of time. Any help would be great
