Downgrade from .283 to .258

Hey.
it seems that since i upgraded from 258 i am facing a lot of issues.
the HS3 crashes every few hours, virtual device values are getting unsorted, device status are not updated and everything is sluggisher.

i backed up my directory and extracted the .258 on top of the .283
all the plugins seem to work but all my events are not there.
is there a DB upgrade in the process?
how can i downgrade?
