HSTouch clients emulate a speaker client and any event that generates speech can be heard out of any HSTouch client such as an Android or IOS client.
There is a missing file on some SEL units and the speech is not heard.
To fix this, the application "flite" needs to be installed. There are 2 ways to install it.
1) From the HomeSeer web interface, select Linux Tools from the Tools menu, log in, then in the command text box enter:
apt-get install flite
2) If you have a monitor attached or can SSH to your unit, bring up a terminal window and enter:
sudo apt-get install flite
This issue has been fixed in our SEL master image so all units shipped after 7/27/16 will already have this file installed.
