tenScripting 3.22 is now available.
One of the most frequent questions I receive is when a script file has been added to the project folder, but the file has not been added to the project from within Visual Studio. The script file, individual scripts, and functions will appear in the drop down lists in tenScripting, but when you try and run the script it is not found because it was never compiled and loaded by Visual Studio because it was never added to the project.
This new version attempts to identify that you are trying to Run a file that is not included in the project, and displays an error dialog.
This version also defaults VS to give a warning for any implicit type casts. The project will still run, but warnings are listed so that you can verify that you really meant what was coded.
As always, your comments and suggestions are welcome.

I replaced an old Lutron system with Cooper multi button keypads; I chose to simply use the keypad buttons to trigger HS events, not scenes. The keypads, however, will not consistently log button presses and, hence, trigger events. The keypads seem to be properly included and show all the buttons as child devices. They have good neighbor connections; they scan and optimize fine; and the connectivity test sends and receives a frame. There seems to be a sort of mystic sequence to setting up the buttons (settings/add HS/save and test) that I think I did correctly. However, I have keypads that a button press doesn't even get a log entry. Any ideas what I've done wrong?

HSTouch installed on two different Android devices.
Both show up as being add in the log.
Both show up on the Network tab of the Setup page.
Volume on Android devices turned up. (yep I doubled checked :) )
No matter what I try, I can't get speech to come out of them.
Speech comes out of speakers hooked to HS Server just fine.
What am I missing?
Thx!

Hi Guys,
I'd like to turn off a light at 11pm every single day of the year, except for Christmas and New Years day. I'd like the light to stay on for those days.
I can't for the life of me figure out how to accomplish this except with Else If logic that isn't available in HomeSeer.
Please help!

Hi Everyone, (I'm new to HomeSeer and the Zee S2)
Is there any way the Zee s2 controller be triggered remotely by a Windows command-line script that is not directly running the HS3 application? In other words, can one send a device On/Off/Dim command from a Windows desktop shortcut? (also, how about by a simple HTTP (browser) request?).
I saw an old post about a "Script Connector plugin" but I'm not sure this would apply to a remote (non-local) computer.
Any other ideas are also appreciated on how to achieve this!
Thanks, -JT :)

Ok, I'm oldschool insteon.
I am probably doing wacky things to control multiple devices at once.
I create groups for each Keypad linc item to control the others and sync responders and it has worked for years.
Is this the current trend with insteon and the latest? I have mostly i2 and i2cs devices as I've slowly phased out all the old.
-------
at risk of ruining this thread with another question, I have a rumor that INSTEON hooked cortana into their insteon universal app. Since I'm a huge MS/.net guy, it figures that I can't seem to figure a HS3 plugin that would do the same with cortana. So my choice seems clear -- piggy back this hub i've had in storage into the network so it can be my insteon<-->cortana bridge.
Thoughts? is this a bad idea? Is the insteon universal app even hooked or was that old news/bad information? I just keep thinking that I can put an xbox with the serious mic array in the living room and pick up
"insteon turn kitchen lights off" and voila......
is this a pipe dream?

I Received error below, when I goto to Plug-ins | Z-Wave. I can no longer manage any z-wave device. Not sure how to recover. (See screen print attached)
This network has no active interfaces enabled for it, and it has no objects or
HomeSeer devices tied to it. If this network will not be used again, please
use the functions at the end to remove this network and all associated
network data. (Restart the plug-in after removing the interface before
attempting the removal.)

Hello everyone, I need some advice.
I've been using an Omni II/IIe for over 11 years as my home security system, thermostat and lighting control (Leviton Decora X10).
I have some programs built (set themostat to 62 when AWAY, turn on landscape lighting at sunset, etc)
Thermostat commands always work because the thermostat is hard wired but lighting through X10 is inconsistent.
Now I'm getting an Amazon Echo and want to be able to control lights, set my temperature, even turn on or off the alarm through Alexa.
Due to the inconsistency of X10 I'm ready to replace all my X10 dimmers and switches with Z-Wave, probably either the Homeseer or Leviton Vizia RF but I don't want to replace the HAI Omni IIe.
My plan is to add a Leviton VRC0P-1LW and connect it to the Omni IIe which will allow it to control the Z-Wave dimmers and switches but I also want to control the lighting with the Echo. And it would be even better if I could also control the themostat and set the alarm also.
So my question is how do I accomplish this? My research suggests the HomeTroller running the HAI plugin may be able to enable me to do all of this but I'd like confirmation and some instructions/guidance on how to set this up.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

I'm using a 3M-50 thermostat in a heated garage. The thermostat can be set as low as 35, which is where I set it when I'm not working in there. I can set the thermostat to 35 from HS3's device list page, but I can't set it below 50 when creating an event. Alexia also states 50 is as low as the thermostat will go. I ran the thermostat with the Z-Wave module and using BLStat, I was able to create events to set the thermostat to 35. I switched back to Wi-Fi because I like the usage reports the RadioThermostat web site and app provides and plan to buy your plug-in. Hopefully a simple change to your plug-in will resolve this issue.

I've been looking and have not found an AC powered Insteon motion detector. All of them I have found are wireless and need to be close to an access point.
My application is to put it in a shop that is over 200 feet away. Same AC circuits.
If I can't find such device I guess my next choice is to get the wireless detector and another access point to put in the shop.

Anyone tried the Arduino.org Leonardo ETH with this plugin? It's got the same network chip as the V2 ethernet shield, supports the POE chip, and has more analog inputs by allowing several of the digital pins to also function as analog inputs. The problem I've found so far is that the Arduino.cc IDE version recommended for this plugin (1.6.8) does not seem to support this board. It is supported by the latest version of the Arduino.org IDE. I surely hope that these separate Arduino factions can get their crap together and combine forces.

Hi everyone,
Can someone tell me how to change parameters for sensors from default settings?
Is there special tool for that? I could not find it in configuration menu of the device or I missed it somewhere.
Thanks for your help. Charles

Looks like it has been a while since there was activity on this Forum. Curious as to if there are any Stargate users still active? If so, where have you gotten with using Stargate with HS3. Im still using the plugin with HS2 and would like to upgrade to HS3 but I am a heavy user of the digitial I/O and keypads for Stargate, cant really see a path forward. Thanks in advance and Happy Holidays!

I moved my daughter and her husband to Sterling, CO.
I have the current data in HSTouch using the replacement variables.
How do I get their forecasts into HStouch, since only the default forecasts have devices in HS?
I looked through the docs and the ini file.
I am still using HS2. (last release)
Thanks,
Tim

I'd like my garage door opening to turn on two exterior light circuits, if at night. Then turn them off 15 minutes later. I've got this part to work. But if the lights are already on, then do not turn them off 15 min later.
And ideally, if the garage door closes within that 15 minutes, but then opens again, the 15 minute count would start over.
Here's what I did, but it's turning off all the lights after 15min, even if they were already on.
- I set up a manual event for each exterior light switch. see images below.
- Then I set up an event for if the garage door changes and becomes open, then to run the manual events.

is it possible to piggy back an insteon hub to an already established plm/network using the plugin?
Would I have to run 2 instances of HS3 to "gain" this possibility?
Reason: possible cortana integration using hub and insteon brewed software.
